This gathering marks the launch of a storytelling collaboration between Mad Agriculture and Sitka Seafood, focused on sustainable fisheries, independent fishing operations, and the ecological connections between ocean and land that underpin regional food systems. The work explores how coastal communities and values driven restaurant leaders help translate stewardship at sea into greater access, transparency, and resilience inland.

 

The evening also celebrates Sitka Seafood’s longtime restaurant partner, Graze Madison, and Chef Tory Miller’s enduring commitment to sourcing with integrity, transparency, and respect for the ecosystems that sustain us.

 

Set in the lively heart of downtown Madison, Know Thy Fisherman invites guests to engage with the people, places, and practices behind our food. Through shared food, conversation, and storytelling, we will explore how stewardship driven sourcing strengthens both land and sea, and how stories help cultivate a deeper understanding of ecology, community, and responsibility.

 

Guests will enjoy small bites created by Graze Madison using seafood from Sitka Seafood, highlighting responsibly harvested fish and thoughtful sourcing from boat to plate. The evening will also feature a signature cocktail crafted by Stateline Distillery, bringing a regional spirit to the celebration.
